What is a journal embargo?

An embargo is a delay between a journal or book's print publication and its digital publication. An embargo period is typically 6 to 12 months. Very few library subscriptions have embargos, but for those that do, it is noted under "coverage."

If you need an article from a recent issue, check whether the library has an additional subscription without an embargo period or submit a document delivery request.
