I am having problems logging in, what should I do?
When you are trying to access subscription-based electronic resources remotely (i.e. from off-site), you will be asked to authenticate using an ID and password.
Please use your Kerberos ID (e.g. doej01) or Net ID (e.g. jsd123) to log in.
If you have left the NYU community, you will no longer have access to the library; however, School of Medicine alumni are invited to join the Washington Square Alumni E-Library. Learn how to get access to the Alumni E-Library here.
If you have a KID (like doej01)
Your password is the same password that you use for your NYULMC email. You can test it by trying to log in to email on the web (NYULMC email).
If you changed your email password recently, you should use the new password on the library website, too. Your browser may automatically fill in passwords, so please type the new password in to make sure the right one is being used.
If you are having problems with your password, you can reset your password here, or call the NYULMC Help Desk at 212-263-6868. After you change the password, log into email to confirm it works before returning to the library.
If you've recently used your ID and password and are sure they are working, but still cannot authenticate to use library resources, please contact us for more help. You can use this form to report the problem. Include the error message you receive, if possible. If you are unable to login to that form then email us at: HSL_Systems [at] nyulangone.org.
If you have a Net ID (like jsd123)
If you have a Net ID, follow the instructions for KIDs above. All other Net ID holders can try the following steps.
Your password is the same password that you use for your NYU email. You can test it by trying to log in to NYU Home.
If you changed your email password recently, you should use the new password on the library website, too. Your browser may automatically fill in passwords, so please type the new password in to make sure the right one is being used.
If you have not used your email account in a long time, your password may no longer work. Or, you may not remember it. The library does not manage the password system and cannot tell you what your password is or help you change it. You can reset your password here, using your Net ID and password hint.
If you've recently used your ID and password and are sure they are working, but still cannot authenticate to use library resources, please contact us for more help. You can email us at: HSL_Systems [at] nyulangone.org to report the problem. Include the error message you receive, if possible.
