How do I login to Ebook Central in order to save books?

On Monday, February 7th, 2022 NYU's Ebook Central changed authentication methods. A new account associated with your NYU NetID will automatically be created when you log in to Ebook Central. You can use this account to download content or save to a Bookshelf.

For the interim, people who access Ebook Central via https://hslguides.med.nyu.edu/ebookcentral or https://ezproxy.med.nyu.edu/login?url=https://ebookcentral.proquest.com/lib/nyulibrary-ebooks will be able to view and read books online but will not be able to download or save to a Bookshelf (unless they first login to Ebook Central and authenticate with an NYU NetID. NYULH KIDs will not work).

If you have an active NetID, then you may wish to use it until similar access for KID users can be put in place.

Note: if after signing in via a NetID presents you with the following notice: "Sorry, your institution does not allow access to ProQuest Ebook Central from your current IP address. Please contact your librarian." try clicking the "Sign In" link a second time.
