Why do I see a "requested URL was rejected" message when trying to access a full-text article?

Occasionally, you may encounter a blank page with this message:

"The requested URL was rejected. Please consult with your administrator.
Your support ID is: 123456789"

Each time this happens, the support ID will be different.

How to fix the issue

  1. Try clearing your browser cookies, which may resolve the problem. Instructions vary by browser—click here for step-by-step guidance.
  2. If clearing cookies doesn’t help, submit a support ticket to MCIT. Be sure to include:
    • The support ID from the error message
    • The website you were trying to access
